TV Tray Recording Studio is an indie-producer’s paradise and the home base for Grammy-award-winning engineer John Baffa. Located in a natural setting outside of Ojai, California, and just a short drive from the beach and downtown Ventura, “The Tray” comes with all of the tools you need to make an amazing record. Scalable from mixing and overdub space up to full band tracking sessions, the studio offers good sightlines, musical gear and instruments from yesterday and today, and affordable full-album tracking session options.
Whether you are looking to book a session for the day or enjoy an extended stay, this is a great getaway destination to be able to focus on your project. The recording studio occupies an entire small house within a rural residential community, and lodging can be included for overnight stays. Accommodations include a full kitchen, laundry, private bathroom, and yard. There is easy access to local hiking when you feel like you need a reset (including seasonal swimming holes within walking and driving distance, and several world-class beaches only minutes away). Enjoy wildlife watching, stargazing from the large, quiet yard, and kicking back around the fire pit. The studio owners are pleased to provide curated eating, exploring, and artistic experiences in the surrounding regions of Ventura and Ojai. Fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables are available from the property’s organic gardens!
